Why Dog Bloom Supplements?

Why Vitamin Suppliments Are Importent For Your Dogs

The True Facts

The importance of proper vitamin and other micronutrient additions to otherwise well-balanced rations has long been established. Top condition, performance and appearance are not possible without these nutrient additions.

Now Some dog food companies will tell you "Our feeds are nutritionally correct - no supplements are necessary." These statements are simply a sales pitch. They are contrary to the facts, and can be dangerously misleading.

What they don't tell you is:

a. Vitamins are very sensitive to heat, moisture, oxidation, (exposure to air), rancidity, mold, contact with many minerals and other ingredients, and length and quality of storage. All of these factors are involved in the manufacture of dog feeds.

b. Vitamin additions in the manufacture of commercial dog feeds are done before the feed is heat processed. Generally, the amount added is for minimum require-ments, or less, not for best results.

c. Heat processing of both dry and canned dog feeds can reach 3500F

d. Vitamins start breaking down at 150º F. Some are completely lost at even lower temperatures.

e. Added to this heat insult are length and quality of storage (many feeds spend months in hot warehouses), possible mold development and contact with minerals and other ingredients in the mix. All of these factors are very damaging to vitamins.

f. Vital nutrient (vitamin) destruction can lead to many serious health problems associated with vita-min deficiencies.

g. The amount of vitamins needed varies from animal to animal within the same species, with stage of life involved and the stresses imposed on the animal. So even if vitamins added in feed manufacturing were exposed to all of the destructive forces listed above, it would still be impossible to correctly vitamin fortify a feed for dogs for all purposes and under all conditions.

The foregoing are the reasons why significant to spectacu-lar increases in general performance and condition levels result when effective vitamin supplementation is added to the so called, nutritionally correct dog foods.

Some feed companies desperately work at discouraging the use of good supplements

Why? Certainly they know you will see the difference they make in performance and appearance which will take the punch out of their sales pitch. Proper supplementation increases feed efficiency, lowers the amount of feed needed per animal and in turn lowers feed production and sales. They are well aware you may see the differences they make. Over supplementation is so extremely rare as to hardly be worth mentioning. Simply follow label directions.

The Bottom Line

It is common knowledge among qualified and unbiased animal nutritionists, that regardless of the dog food you are now using, the addition of effective vitamin supplementation is a must if you want the best in performance, beautiful coats, top reproduction, feed efficiency, peak condition and protection of your investment in fine animals.
